David first became fascinated with the human body while working in the operating room at the Carlisle Hospital in the mid to late 90's as a Sterile Technician. He was lucky enough to observe a wide variety of surgeries, but his favorites were always the orthopedic cases.
It wasn't until 10 years later that he discovered the benefits of massage and how it could be used as a tool for recovery and performance while competing in endurance mountain bike races.
In July of 2008, with the encouragement of his wife Sarah, David enrolled in the Massage Therapy Practitioner program at YTI Career Institute in Mechanicsburg, PA and graduated top of his class a year later. After traveling to client's homes with his massage table for a year, he found a permanent home for his practice at Simply Well in downtown Carlisle where he has been ever since.
One of David's passions is working with athletes to help them achieve peak performance, prevent injuries, and speed up recovery between workouts. He also treats a multitude of conditions such as sciatic pain, headaches, chronic neck and back pain, plantar fascitis, carpal tunnel syndrome, thoracic outlet syndrome and many other orthopedic conditions.
In his spare time, Dave enjoys mountain biking, skiing, road cycling, hiking with his dogs, and cooking. He and his wife own

During his career as a chiropractor, Dr Holst received post-graduate education and certification in the care and treatment of Whiplash injuries, Industrial Injury Prevention with BackSafe, and Body Balance for Performance, a golf-specific injury prevention and performance program. For 5 years, he ran a multi-discipline practice where he managed other providers, including chiropractors, physical therapists, and medical doctors. Their focus was the care and treatment of musculoskeletal conditions. With an emphasis on spinal conditions.
Over the past 2 years, he has become proficient in the use of SoftWave Tissue Regeneration Technology. SoftWave TRT is a form of shockwave that produces an unfocused distribution of therapeutic energy that, unlike typical shockwave, does not damage tissue. SoftWave’s healing response is 3-fold. First, it creates a down-regulation of inflammation, which provides immediate relief of pain. Second, SoftWave activates endogenous stem-cells for tissue healing. Third, it causes new blood vessels to be created to increase blood flow to the area. In addition to helping his own knee to heal, he has had the opportunity to help patients with TMJ syndrome to Turf-toe, and everything in between. “In my 37 years of treating musculoskeletal injuries, I have not seen anything like it when it comes to creating a healing response.”
Dr. Holst is excited to bring SoftWave Tissue Regenerative Technology to the Simply Well family of providers. He looks forward to healing you.

Ashten Trimble is a Licensed Professional Counselor and Certified Clinical Trauma Professional in Pennsylvania. Her Bachelors of Science degree in Psychology and Masters Degree in Marital and Family Therapy allow her to work with families and individuals that include adolescents ages 14 and up, as well as couples that are experiencing relational trauma. She has partnered with Domestic Violence Services of Cumberland and Perry Counties to provide healing for domestic violence victims through group and individual opportunities. She also provides vicarious trauma treatment for employees through individual and group therapy.
Ashten believes that trauma is not compartmentalized, it affects all parts of our being- mental, emotional, physical and spiritual. Therefore, the healing process also needs to involve all parts of our being. Attachment wounds, abusive relationships with themselves and others, specific traumatic events, losses that have not yet been grieved, generational trauma and high conflict functioning in families affect how we view ourselves and interact with the world. Gabor Mate said it best, “ We may not be responsible for the world that created our minds, but we can take responsibility for the mind with which we create our world.” Ashten finds passion and purpose in helping others take their power back, heal their trauma wounds and pain, and start LIVING rather than EXISTING. She empowers her clients to ground themselves in nature and reclaim their power by rewriting their narratives.
Outside of her career, Ashten enjoys spending time writing, reading, playing games and being outdoors with her family, and watching her kids’ sports and activities.
“Meeting people where they are at and treating them like human beings and not trying to change them, actually opens up the possibility of transformation for them” - Gabor Mate
